“Reiki Kids” A Creative Exploration
of Energy is a one-day workshop for children. Students get in touch
with their subtle energy and learn simple Reiki methods. This course
is designed to be fun and interesting for children who have an awareness
of their energetic being and would like to spend time in a nurturing,
supportive atmosphere which allows them to explore their unique
potential.
This program is designed for children that march
to their own beat and hear the sounds and feelings of all. Students
receive the ability to channel Reiki through an energetic process
of attunement. The emphasis is placed on experiencing Reiki, putting
words and feelings to this experience through art, movement and
sound. The workshop is conducted in a child friendly environment.
The class includes: energy exercises, sensing the energy field,
Reiki attunement, healing with plants, animals and people, Reiki
art, stories and meditation.
Successful Technique:
By using energy sensing techniques children will easily understand
that they are electromagnetic beings as well as a physical being.
Have them create an energy ball between their hands. First help
make your hands sensitive by rubbing them together quickly like
you would to warm your hands up if they were cold. Put the palms
of your hands facing each other about 6 inches apart. Just leave
them there for a minute, noticing what you feel between your hands.
Slowly
move your hands closer together. Then move them farther apart until
you begin to feel something gently resisting the push and pull of
your hands. This is the energy ball and with practice you might
even be able to see it.

Even if you don’t
see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there. We can’t see
radio waves, but if we turn on a radio we can hear them. We can’t
see the satellite transmission to your TV, but when we turn on the
TV we can see the picture. All energy works the same way. We need
a transmitter and a receiver in order to sense how the energy is
working.
After you have
guided the child to feel the energy ball between their hands, have
the child lie down on a large sheet of paper and trace an outline
of their body. Give them paints, markers, sparkles, glitter, paper
and glue. It is amazing to see what they create. Sparkling auras,
flower like chakras, spirit guides and angels will appear on the
paper as they freely express what they are seeing, sensing and feeling.
Future Goals:
Barbara will continue to supply information and materials for Reiki
Masters to teach Reiki to Children. Barbara is developing the first
certification program for Reiki Masters to teach Reiki to children.
She will continue to support and assist setting up these programs
throughout the world.

Location: Asheville, NC

Website: www.sarahwood.com
Sarah
Wood teaches groups of children meditation and conducts a training
program for adults who want to teach meditation to children. Sarah
has developed The Satya Method, which shows teachers how to create
respectful partnerships with their students, promotes organic education
and shares how the classroom space is a path of inner growth for
both the teacher and student.
Sarah
offers a weekend workshop for parents and others interested in encouraging
a child's already natural metaphysical awareness and abilities.
The course certifies participants to teach children how to meditate
and work with their chakra energy system. Participants also learn
how to create their own meditations for children addressing a particular
issue.
Successful
Technique: Many children become distracted because of
their ability to experience a rapid continuous flow of intuitive
information. I find teaching children what to do with this stimulating
information is the most effective way to help them find focus and
peace. Close your eyes, take three deep long breaths, and imagine
a cord connected to the root chakra (bottom of your tailbone), extending
down into the floor, through the ground and into the center of the
planet. This cord may look or feel like anything you choose, as
long as it is able to carry particles of energy through it. This
cord connects to the center of the planet. Once you feel this connection,
imagine particles of energy moving out from all the areas of your
body toward your root chakra (bottom of your tailbone). These particles
of colored dust represent energy you just don't need anymore. Now
release it down the cord, where it travels to the center of the
planet and finds it's complementary energy and balances (since you
don't need it anymore, it goes where it needed). This simple meditation
is excellent for those who have trouble falling asleep, need calming
after an intense activity or feel stuck in a frustrated space. It
is best to draw a picture of yourself and your grounding cord, so
that it becomes real in your mind.
Intuitive
information also shows itself very intensely within dreams. Therefore,
it is a good idea to encourage children to understand how dreams
directly relate to our waking lives. Keeping a dream journal helps
us recall, interpret and most importantly RELEASE this information.
Future
Goals: Sarah plans to promote her book "Children, Meditation
and Growth - Teaching Children Meditation Using The Satya Method."
She hopes to expand her already established training program for
adults who want to teach children meditation.

Location: Chesapeake, VA
The Spiritual Renaissance Summer Camp nurtures Indigo's special
talents, abilities, and needs. The camp addresses the Psychological,
Physical, Spiritual, Social and Emotional sides of children, so
that he or she can grow up creative, healthy, strong, happy, and
wise.
Children
learn to create positive change in their lives and in the lives
of those around them. Campers learn how to make these changes in
a peaceful and focused way. Learning activities include Yoga, Qi
Gong, EFT, Brain gym exercises, Quantum Physics in relation to Spirituality
and leadership/ teamwork building skills. Camp leaders facilitates
weekly coffee house-type presentations, field trips and community
service projects.
Successful Technique:
Emotional Freedom Simon Says - Begin with a game of Simon Says.
Then tap on the top of your head, middle of middle of your forehead,
temples, cheek bones, the space between the nose and your lips,
the space between your lips and chin, your collar bones, or in your
armpits and have the children follow your moves. Then ask the children
to think of something that bothers them while they follow your tapping
in these places. Or, ask the children to think of an uncomfortable
feeling and have then repeat this phrase while they tap their bodies:
“Even though i feel... I completely love and accept myself”
This is the Emotional Freedom Technique. The tapping moves energy
through our energetic meridian system. This frees up the energy
so it can break up and let disturbances go. Yawning while your doing
it is a good sign that it's working, yawns are one way we release
larger amounts of energy.
You
can also get them to do Brain Gym exercises during it, like cross
crawls, where you get your knees to touch your opposite elbows,
this exercise helps the child to use both hemispheres of the brain
to more easily integrate information. This helps with many skills
including reading. You could also have the children massage their
earlobes, which increases blood flow to the brain, or to rub their
carotid artery (where it runs just below the collar bone), which
stimulates the blood going to the brain.
Future
Goals:
Brien plans to open a school centered around the camp activities/lessons
integrated with Sudbury valley, Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Amelia,
He also plans to publish a book about being Indigo.

Heartlight DFW Learning Community (HLC) is a place of self-discovery
and self-directed learning with no religious affiliation. The learning
community follows the Sudbury Democratic Model School and will also
incorporate spiritual concepts such as: awareness, honesty, responsibility
and gratitude.
The enrolled students will be in complete control of their learning.
There is no limit to what avenues the student can take and the adults
will be right there to help facilitate what the child needs. Using
the democratic model, entering students will have the ability to
make laws, break laws, decide consequences, etc. There are no grades
or tests as these concepts simply hinder learning and enter competition
into the equation.
Successful Technique:
This activity allows children to come together to support one another
while exploring various topics. Create a space for children of similar
ages to sit together and openly discuss a particular subject. This
dynamic works very well with teens however younger groups can also
form. We have found that when children are given the opportunity
to completely be themselves in a safe environment, their own wisdom
will assist them through their tough childhood issues. Discussion
groups can cover every imaginable topic such as sex, relationships,
parents, pressure, friends, school, world issues, etc. It is a beautiful
site to witness children using their own wisdom and intuition to
help make their lives and the world a more peaceful and loving place.
Future
Goals:
HLC plans to open an adult learning center in the near future. The
adult activities will include study groups, parent/child circles,
parenting workshops, and inner-growth work. In addition to HLC,
we hope to take our wisdom out to local schools to assist children
with drug prevention and sexual awareness. HLC also plans to open
additional locations throughout the DFW area.

Type: Workshops
Contact: Dr. Jean Antoinette Schweizer, Center For Universal
Learning
Email: jschweizer@aol.com
Website: www.indigoeducator.com
Location: Boynton Beach Fl
Center For Universal Learning, Inc. is an active supporter of the
arts in both education and therapy. The Center offers Workshops
for parents and professionals, Training for teachers and therapists,
Curriculum design for schools, and Movement therapy for children.
Dr. Jean Antoinette Schweizer , the founder, identified twenty-two
rhythmic patterns (codes) which reveal how the Indigo, Crystal and
Magenta children learn. When all twenty-two patterns are done consecutively
with the whole body they create a tapestry of energy, a dance where
all the instruments are in tune for balance for creativity and for
expansion.
The children of the new consciousness do not do
well when their unique energy patterning is interrupted, they literally
bounce off the walls. This is why it is important for them to do
the movements, sounds, thoughts, colors and tones to bring in the
vibratory motion within each of their nine centers. These centers,
when in balance bring them naturally to the stillpoint of the heart
where new thoughts flow in and old patterns are released.
Successful Techniques:
1)This exercise helps a children align their mind with their heart.
When the mind and heart are not in alignment it is more difficult
to focus and process anger. Have the child put his or her fingertips
together with both hands. This will bring the child immediately
into his or her home in the heart center for grounding. Ask the
child to imagine a golden sun, which will open the crown center,
allowing energy to come into the body through the top of the head
(crown charka) and out the solar plexus center (below the chest).
2) Energy Sharing: Have the child face you hold the child’s
right hand with your right hand and hold the child’s left
hand with your left hand. This makes a crossing point, an eight,
where the energy flows into infinity. This is a more natural energy
flow than flip-flopping around from one pole to another. Give the
child a quality you wish to share with the child. For example, “patience."
Ask the child to feel the quality/energy move from your hand into
his or her hand. If you shared patience, ask the child to say aloud,
“I feel your patience.” Repeat this process with other
energies such as "love" and "courage.”
Future
Goals: To reach as many parents, professionals and educational
and healing institutions as possible to help these beautiful children
maintain their balance in order to assist them in giving out their
own teachings far and wide.

A Child's Voice operates from a belief that there
are positive answers to everything. They teach how frustrations
can be eliminated, negativity and anger can be released, and stress
can find an outlet by shifting thought processes. Their mission
is to work directly with children, parents and teachers providing
them with tools, strategies, resources and information to achieve
a more fulfilling life..
ACV works specifically with Indigo Children, Gifted,
A.D.D. and Crystal Children to resolve these conflicts. By working
with parents they are better able to understand their child and
assist in strengthening their relationship. Parents are also provided
with resources, information and tools to help maneuver through the
many issues involved in their child’s school and home environment.
Teachers also benefit from understanding supportive engagement techniques™
to use with children in their classroom.
Successful Technique:
“Releasing Fears Box”: First explain to the child that
they will be making their very own “Fear Box”, in which
they can put anything that is bothering them into so they don’t
have to hold on to it. Have the child create their “own box”
by taking a small blank white box, writing their name on the lid
and then drawing pictures all around the box of their favorite things.
You may want to cover the box with plain white paper if the box
has words and logos on it. Depending on how the child decorates
the box you can learn more about the child and what he/she is interested
in. Once they have finished drawing on their box, give the child
small blank pieces of paper on which they can write down all their
fears on to; anything that is bothering them and put them in the
box. This way the fears get pulled off of themselves and put in
the box, relieving any “baggage buildup” that currently
plagues many adults.
This activity also gives the parent insight into
a child’s fears and concerns that they may be able to help
with through future conversations. The child can place their “fear
box” on their shelf for any future problems or fears that
may crop up in their life. By putting it in the box, the child gets
rid of the fear.
Future
Goals: As Features Editor of Parenting and Education Sections
of Children of the New Earth Magazine, Tracey plans on providing
more tools and resources for parents internationally to better equip
themselves for their parenting journey. Tracey is also in the process
of publishing “Parenting Indigo Children” a book based
on case studies from her practice. She also plans on launching a
series for kids based on seven kid characters that are Indigo Children,
entitled Daisy Button Adventures.

Location: Arcadia, CA (in the San Gabrielle Valley,
Los Angeles County)
Email: info@indigoangels.com
Website: www.indigoangels.com
Angela offers Yoga classes for children, Meditation
classes for children, Chakra and Aura Workshops for children, Partner
Yoga for parent and child promoting communication, bonding, and
workshops for school teachers providing simple techniques for getting
great results in the classroom.
Angela Moore is a mother of two “indigo”
children, an intuitive lightworker, and an energy healer. She holds
certifications as a Children’s Yoga Instructor, Children’s
Meditation Facilitator, Reiki Master, and Rainbow Touch Practitioner.
Successful Technique:
This activity is used with two or more children. First ask the children
to close their eyes and take some deep, cleansing breaths to calm
them down. Then ask them to see a chord going down from their root
chakra (at their tail bone), down through the floor, down through
Mother Earth, all the way to the core of boiling hot magma. Then
ask them to see a beam of light filled with love coming up from
the center of mother earth, up through their root chakra, through
their naval chakra (behind their belly button), through their solar
plexus chakra (behind their stomach), their heart chakra, their
throat chakra, their third eye chakra (between their eyebrows),
through their crown chakra (at the top of their head), up to Father
Sky. Then ask them to see a beam of light filled with love coming
down from Father Sky and going in through their crown chakra, down
through all the chakras and blending with the light from Mother
Earth.
Then ask them to see themselves as the golden angels that they are.
Tell them to feel their wings on their backs and to begin to move
them. Remind them that one day soon they will be conscious of their
wings all the time and that then they will remember how to fly.
Then tell the children to open their eyes and to look at each other.
Ask them to look at the other child or children next to them and
see their friend or sibling as the angel that he is; to see his
wings. Then ask them to start to flap their wings and to see each
others wings flapping. Remind them that one day soon they will be
flying together, going on adventures and having great fun. It is
always a pleasure to see the look of joy and wonder on their faces
as they flap their angel wings for each other and anticipate their
fun adventures together. This activity always helps to replace feelings
of animosity with warm and fuzzy feelings.
Future
Goals: Angela plans to bring awareness to schools and communities
of children’s innate goodness and awesome abilities and how
these qualities are easily displayed when children are trusted and
guided rather than feared and controlled. She also plans to continue
providing an environment in which children’s physical, emotional,
creative, and intuitive abilities may flourish, as well as to help
children reconnect with their inner power, guidance, joy, and peace.

"Investing
in Adult Understanding of Special Children" is a 2-day workshop
approved for continuing education for teachers, social workers,
professional counselors, registered nurses and advanced practice
nurses in the state of Illinois. Many states have reciprocal agreements
that allow this workshop to used for continuing education credits
in other states.
Workshops are interactive multi-sensory experiential learning that
reconnects the Soul with sources of personal meaning and satisfaction.
Holistic practitioners facilitate experiences that can be duplicated
in classrooms, counseling sessions, or at home with your family.
The latest cutting-edge scientific research and information is used
at the basis for personal and cultural change.
Deb Redman, president and founder of Legacy, has been working as
a catalyst to help families and children deal with the everyday
issues, concerns, and situations that adults, teenagers, and children
face. Deb works one-on-one and in groups with parents, counselors,
teachers, and other adults to help them understand the children
and teenagers with whom they interact.
Successful
Technique:
Sweeping Away Energy: Heavy energy has a tendency to settle around
us throughout the day. Using your hands, wipe them over your entire
body, reaching around to your back as much as you can. Starting
at your head, move down the neck, sweeping the shoulders, upper
back, lower back, arms, chest, belly, butt, thighs, calves and shins,
ending at the feet. Once you have reached the ground, hold your
hands parallel to the ground and ask Mother Earth to transmute all
of the energy you just took off into positive, useful energy. It
doesn't matter if you touch the ground or not. You may also perform
the sweeping technique on another person. People report feeling
lighter, clear headed, and able to vocalize much better. They usually
feel energized, relaxed, and in a better frame of mind for learning.
For best results, have fun while performing this technique. You
may want to introduce it as a game to children.
For sleep walking and intense dreams: Tell your child to go to the
Temple of the Masters while sleeping. This is a safe place to rest
our consciousness during sleep. Many children and adults report
that the nightmares and sleep walking stops immediately and they
finally get a good night's sleep. The primary thing to teach here
is that children can have control over what happens to them while
their Souls continue working during slumber. They can tell their
Guides that they don't want to play or work that night and they
can decide for themselves when they want to interact with their
Guides. It also helps children and teens to know that they are receiving
significant information during their dreamtime. It's very important
to write down as many details as possible, as the meaning may become
clearer later. If your is too young to write, you can keep a journal
for them. This creates a wonderful bond of trust and communication
if the parent does not judge the information, try to change a child's
interpretation or attempt to interpret the information for the child.
The parent's only role is to record EXACTLY what the child says.
If the child wishes to discuss the dream, then do so in an age appropriate
way.
Future
Goals: To work with human service workers and families to facilitate
the healing of everyone so that the groundwork is laid to help The
New Frontier of Children usher in the 1,000 years of Peace that
is their mission.

The Indigo
Sudbury Campus is modeled after Sudbury Valley School in Framingham,
Massachusetts, functioning on two main premises: self-initiated
learning and participatory democracy. Self-initiated learning means
students initiate all their own activities. The Campus makes available
abundant resources, time and space for students to discover, explore
and express their passions and interests. Students become whole
people who are inner driven.
All students and staff members have a vote at the weekly Campus
Meetings, making decisions on matters affecting the day-to-day operation
of the Campus. Other keys to the successful democratic functioning
of the campus are staff elections and student participation on the
Judicial Committee, which addresses all disciplinary questions at
the Campus. Thus far, students have fully participated in organizational
meetings and have voted on key issues such as the Campus name and
Campus rules.
Successful
Technique:
Anger Release Visualization: Imagine yourself in a room with a big
screen. Onto that screen project the person or people you're angry
with and know that their role while they're on your anger screen
is only to listen; they can't talk, defend their point of view or
answer you, they can only listen. Now step back into the screen
yourself and start telling these people why you're angry. Let them
hear the works! Whatever you're angry about, tell them. Whatever
you think is unfair, share it with them. Whatever you've been wanting
to say, say it. Express absolutely everything you're feeling and
keep right on raging until your anger's gone. When you truly feel
relieved of your anger, freeze the scene on the screen ... place
an imaginary bomb beneath it, and blow the whole thing up. This,
once again, tells your subconscious mind that you're letting the
whole thing go.
Once your anger screen in gone, put up a new and beautiful screen
that reflects a safe place for you (your bedroom, a tree house,
an empty beach, etc.) Often underneath the wrath of your anger you
are actually hurting so in this safe place you're going to ask someone
who is very special to you - friend, [relative], guardian angel,
etc. - to come help you heal your pain. This person will come hold
you and console you until you feel at peace.
Future
Goals: It is Nicolette's personal goal to bring as much awareness
as possible to the Sudbury model, which she is prepared to do through
speaking engagements and written work.

Successful
Techniques:
Top 10 Tips for Teaching Indigos by Wendy H. Chapman
1. Treat
them with respect. If you do not show it for them, they won't give
it to you despite your position of authority. Listen to their opinions.
They need to know you care and recognize them as people of value.
2. Empower them. Give them choices such as what type of product
to create to demonstrate learning, what order they do the work in,
perhaps between two activities (as a class decision). Having a voice
that makes a difference will do wonders for their self-esteem, will
usually encourage them to participate in the choice they have made,
and consequently will improve their attitude towards you and towards
education.
3. Solicit cooperation and avoid giving orders. Indigos do not respond
(at all or not positively) to those who attempt to control them.
They will respond to those who treat them fairly and kindly.
4. Help them do things that make a difference. If they are frustrated
with the way something is - from homework in the school to homelessness
in the world, encourage them to do something positive to change
it.. Like writing letters to the school board or the paper, creating
poetry about it, making posters, t-shirts, organizing a school or
community group to focus on the issue and work to change it.
5. Help them discover and develop their talents and strengths. Encourage
their creativity and unique personal expression.
6. Be tolerant of their extreme emotions
7. Help them balance by using aromatherapy, allow them to drink
water in the classroom, quiet moments or visualization practice
8. Encourage students to be peacemakers for each other. Indigos
are here to be peacemakers for the world. Let them practice now.
This helps develop communication and compassion. Be a guide in this
process.
9. Explain WHY about everything. Why certain rules exist, why they
need homework (Do they really if they already understand the concept?),
why the world has to be the way it is. If you don't have an answer,
acknowledge their frustration and show empathy.
10. Discourage medicating for ADD. Often it is not ADD, but Indigo
nature creating selective attention. If they can focus on a topic
of their own choosing for long periods of time, it's probably Indigo,
not ADD. Even if there is a problem with attention and distractibility,
there are alternative methods of therapy that, unlike Ritalin, do
not suppress the natural creativity and leadership of Indigos. Encourage
organizational aids.
Future Goals: Wendy plans to continue teaching and traveling
to other states and countries, as well as offer services via online
chat, phone, and email.

Conscious
Parenting for a New Paradigm seeks to lead and accelerate enlightened
and empowering change in the world by recreating the worldview beliefs
about parenting and children. Offering parents, teachers, and other
adults who care about the welfare of our children, a way of developing
the insight and behaviors necessary to empower the Indigo Children
to develop their abilities to the utmost, so that they can complete
their role as the "peace makers". Participants learn effective
strategies for today's adult/child relationships that can make parenting
a lot more successful and fun. This class helps you deal with the
stresses in today's family, while furthering the understanding of
the Indigo Children.
Barbra also teaches "Awakening Inner Child Consciousness"
focused on healing the parents of the Indigo Children from their
childhood wounds. She has twenty years experience as a therapist
and is the author of "The Unofficial Guide For Living Successfully
On Planet Earth", as well as contributing author to "An
Indigo Celebration".
Successful
Technique:
Changing You First: When your Indigo is behaving in a way that makes
you want to pull your hair out, and you have utilized all your conscious
parenting skills, you might want to try changing you, rather than
changing them. When you have someone in your life whose behavior
pushes your buttons, it is best to release your thoughts/judgments
about this behavior, rather than fixating on it. Continually thinking
of the person's negative behavior creates an energy that literally
holds their frequency (and their behavior) in place. You are thinking,
"That's the way they are!" And guess what? You are right.
That is the way they are as long as you hold them that way!
What you need to do is think about them the way you want them to
be. Your feelings will go along with your new perception. In doing
so, you are creating a space for them to change, along with the
energy to help them. Therefore, releasing your thoughts/judgments
about the behavior will allow them the freedom to move out of the
behavior. Try this process over a period of a few weeks, you will
notice it gets easier and easier each time.
Here are some techniques and questions you might want to ask yourself:
Where in my life am I trying to change my child?
What can I do to change my perspective of the situation?
What can I do to change me?
What is my child trying to teach me?
Bring your child into your meditation and communicate with them
there.
Send your higher self to their higher self, to help work it out.
Surround them with white light and release them to their highest
good.
Future Goals: Barbra plans to continue traveling throughout
this country training facilitators and educating parents and teachers
in opening to the possibility of conscious families so that the
mission of these new souls will be accomplished!

Successful
Techniques: The following exercises
work well with both adults and children, especially if they are
used daily #1Energy Cleansing and Balancing: Energy work itself
is a great way to help children, when it is used to cleanse both
their spirit and their environment. Indigo children are energetic
sponges. They pick up on all the energy around them, especially
within their own environment. This energy overload comes from picking
up on fear, anger etc. and the only way they know how to deal with
the uncomfortable energy is to act it out. They may throw tantrums,
be verbally or even physically abusive. The following activities
are tools for releasing this energy. Have the child focus on what
they are feeling, maybe something that happened that day or just
that moment when they were experiencing anger, resentment, fear,
sadness etc.. Then ask them to blow these feelings into a balloon
(either a real balloon or an imaginary one). Have them blow the
balloon up as much as they need, releasing all the feelings, hold
onto it for a moment and then thank the Angels and Universe for
transmuting or clearing everything that is in the balloon into love
and healing energy. Let the balloon go. Observe the child have so
much fun watching the balloon zip all over the place, while their
energy completely shifts.
#2 Grounding for Focus and Peace: Many children tend to float or
journey outside their bodies, leaving them very distracted and with
what seems to be an Attention Disorder. Grounding their energy in
their body helps them to be in the present moment. Simply, have
the child imagine a white light coming down, starting at the top
of their head and running down through their body, down the arms
out the palms of the hands, down the legs out the souls of the feet
and out the base of their tail bone, all going down into Mother
Earth and spreading roots like a tree.
#3 Strengthening Psychic Abilities: Take turns thinking of a color,
see it in your mind's eye and feel the color in your body. You may
repeat the name of the color in your mind, then send all that you
are feeling, seeing, hearing, and smelling about the color to your
partner's third eye (between the eyes) and heart center. The partner
tunes into the color by bringing it through their senses. Then allow
the receiver to share what they have picked up on about the color
you have sent them. This may take practice but make sure you keep
laughing with it and keep it light. You can also do this with numbers,
animals, sports, words, and shapes. Or use pictures; sit in front
of each other, while one looks at a picture and sends it through
their mind to the partner.
Future
Goals: Carolyn is presently writing a book, which will bring
about awareness of how to understand and work with the Indigo Children.
She plans to travel promoting this awareness. Carolyn is also creating

The Sanctuary School and online program offer online and text-based
courses that enable Indigo and other children and youth to develop
their creative abilities, academic brilliance and leadership potentials.
For those in independent study and classroom programs, the courses
provide a foundation in kind living and love of nature by encouraging
compassionate service, partnership with all life and individual
creative expression. The wisdom within the student is nurtured and
allowed to come forth. Children are encouraged to actively serve
the planet and develop global links and partnerships with other
schools and organizations in order to share their cultures, dreams
and new ideas.
Successful
technique: Ask your child to draw a picture of their heart and
then to draw the earth inside of their heart. Ask your child if
they feel differently about Mother Earth when they imagine the earth
inside their own heart. Then work with your child to practice asking
permission before you pick a flower, break off a branch or pick
up a stone. When you do this, talk to your child about feeling the
relationship between you and the lower, the tree, the stone? And
practice saying "thank you" for the flower, the branch,
or the stone. Thank you is a magical power!
Future
Goals:Additional
courses for teens are being developed. Expanded curriculum to include
all subject areas (a complete home study curriculum) will be provided.
Partnerships with other schools and an on-site learning center are
envisioned.

Hay
For Kids is a children's spiritual/self esteem program based on
Louise Hay's concepts Our program consists of a children's Treasure
Hunt workshop which playfully encourages children to understand
that they have beautiful unique gifts and talents to share. The
children are introduced to the concepts of affirmations, positive
thoughts, mind, body, spirit as one, ecology, etc with the help
of fun exercises. Creative visualizations are used to introduce
meditation and breathing exercises.
Hay For
Kids also offers rhyming affirmation card packs which are a fun
way for children to transform potential negative thoughts, speech
and actions. 30 beautifully designed cards in a set, each affirmation
accompanied by its own fun rhyme to encourage the children to say
them.
Successful
Technique: Affirmations: You can help your child change negative
thoughts and negative speech by the use of Positive Affirmations.
Positive Affirmations are positive statements said in the first
person singular and in the present tense. Have your child say Positive
Affirmations looking at themselves into a mirror. It bounces the
positive thought deep into the subconscious. Children love mirror-work
- it's fun. Babies also love to look at themselves in a mirror and
you can say all the wonderful things for them. Encourage your child
to say their affirmations regularly. You can help your child make
their own personalised Positive Affirmation cards. Buy some colored
cards, decorate them with glitter and stickers and ask your child
to write their own Affirmations.
Here
are some examples to get you started:
I AM UNIQUE AND SPECIAL
THERE IS NOBODY QUITE LIKE ME AND I HAVE UNIQUE GIFTS AND TALENTS
I LEARN NEW THINGS EVERY DAY
I HAVE A LOVELY SMILE
I BELIEVE IN MYSELF
I AM MY OWN BEST FRIEND
I ALWAYS LOOK FOR SOMETHING POSITIVE IN EVERYONE
I KNOW I AM SPECIAL AND HERE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
I MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN MANY SPECIAL WAYS
I ENJOY AND USE THE TALENTS I HAVE
I TREAT EVERYONE AS I WANT TO BE TREATED
I HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE MY THOUGHTS
I LOVE MYSELF EXACTLY AS I AM
Future
Goals: Hay For Kids plan to develop our material further. We
hope to pilot the workshops in schools in the UK and envisage a
pregnancy and pre-pregnancy program.

Location: Asheville, NC

The SoulPoint
process works with and integrates the family with the basic components
they would have if they had been born as Indigos, and allows them
to step into it as if that was all they had ever known. It gives
them the opportunity to see through the eyes of the child from within
themselves and know what the child really needs. Bonding is a natural
result. Another facet of the SoulPoint work is working with a woman
during pregnancy, allowing the parents to come into alignment before
giving birth. SoulPoint is the connecting link that allows all the
aspects in life to function easily. It's the basic translator that
opens the inner files of understanding.
Successful technique: This very simple technique can be used
from the moment of conception, into school years, and beyond. It
speaks very strongly to the natural senses of the Indigo by using
the language they understand. The message is one of trust, safety,
blossoming, and being nurtured. It can smooth out rough situations
and help you and the child bond in more ways than you could possibly
imagine! Go into a relaxed, meditative space with your child. Have
your child imagine the following process with you. This image is
of a flower in a very tight bud. As you are seeing this, allow the
bud to gently start to open. Imagine you can feel the sun, the breeze,
smell the air around this budding flower, even to knowing the texture
of the soil it's in. Add in as much sensation as you possible can,
make it up if you need to, pretend. Let the colors come alive in
your awareness as you are doing this. Allow the bud to slowly, gently
transform into a blossoming flower in it's full majesty. Feel the
smile within you as you are experiencing this miracle of nature,
and sense your ability to appreciate it. Then simply come out of
the meditative state. Notice how you feel. Notice what thoughts
come to you. Notice what your senses start to perceive in the environment
around you. Most importantly, enjoy the process! If it is difficult
or challenging in the beginning, just know that it's still working.
It will become easy and fluid the more you do it.
Future
Goals: To have conference call workshops for the SoulPoint process,
a workbook and tape series that can be downloaded off the website,
and study/support groups so that everyone can realize and recognize
their true innate Indigo nature and live from that space of harmony
and nurturing.

Phone number: 305-551-0695
Dr. Monica
Moreno combines homeopathic medicine with acupuncture and colortherapy.
Samassati Colortherapy uses the vibrational frequencies of colored
light. For example, If a child is hyperactive, there may be excess
of the color red being sent to the brain, enhancing activity. We
then balance it with the color green, its opposite, which changes
the pattern and calms the child. Blue has a soothing effect, enhances
peace, tranquility and is very effective for use in treating ADHD.
Yellow is an anti-bacterial (throat infections) and also aids the
digestive system (spleen/stomach).
Homeopathy
is a health option for treating children because all the ingredients
are non-toxic. The natural ingredients used and the philosophy of
diagnosis is why many parents are drawn to this modality. Homeopathy
treats the whole person, meaning practitioners take into consideration
other elements in addition to physical symptoms. For example, sleeping
patterns, eating habits and emotional states.
Successful
Technique: Better Sleeping: The following are some suggestions
for helping your child fall asleep more easily and have a better
nights sleep all around. (1)Use a blue colored bulb in a lamp in
your child's room (2) Spend quiet time with your child about an
hour before bedtime. You can talk with your child, read to him or
her (no bedtime stories that have "monsters" in them,
or bad endings)or listen to soft music. In fact stimulating TV shows
can affect your child's falling asleep. It is best to not watch
TV for an hour before bedtime. (3) It is best to give your child
a good meal about two hours before bedtime. If a snack is needed
it is best to feed your child food high in carbohydrates. Chamomile
tea or linden are also great right before bed. (4) The parent can
also press gently on the acupoint called YinTang, which is approximately
between the eyebrows, this will relax you child.
Future
Goals: Dr. Monica plans to continue treating children and women
and operating her successful health clinic in Miami Florida.

Type: Delphi Kids' Club (Earth club)

Location: Tucson, AZ

phone: 520-292-9308
Inspired by
the book "Six Lessons with Delphi: How to Live Happily with
All Life" by Patricia Jepsen and Delphi, a golden retriever,
this club for children and their families focuses on partnership
with the earth and caring for all life. Children and their families
take part in games, projects and activities which promote listening
with the heart, kindness towards all living beings, and respect
for the connections we all share. Community outreach and partnership
with other programs is encouraged.
Successful
Technique: Circle of Life Game -- Have everyone stand and
hold hands in a circle, except for one or two individuals who remain
outside (the "actors.") This circle represents the circle
of life. Have each person in the circle choose an animal or one
part of nature that they would like to represent, i.e. a turtle,
rock, ocean, tree, bird, cloud, etc. When everyone is ready, allow
the "actors" to push or pull on the arms of someone in
the circle, and notice how this movement causes others in the circle
to move as well. (What happens when you pull on a circle?) Talk
about how everything is interconnected, and how what we do to one
part of nature affects the whole. What positive actions can we do
for those living around us, and how will they affect the planet
as a whole?
Have
each child choose a positive action they could undertake to benefit
the earth, and carry it out. For example, “I will water the
tree in my front yard so that is can grow big and strong."
Or, choose an action that you would like to undertake as a group
to help the earth. For example, "We will pick up litter at
the park." As an outgrowth of this discussion, let each person
write his or her own Earth Treaty: a promise or agreement with the
earth about the positive actions they would like to undertake. Take
the treaty outside and read it to the earth. Can you hear her response?
Future
goals: As more clubs form, children will be able to connect
with others around the world, learn about their cultures, and work
together on common projects related to the earth and world peace.
